The design on this trunk (document box) is inspired by one most likely painted by Edward Francis while employed at one of the Filley tin shops in Connecticut, New York, or Pennsylvania. His designs were large and bold and filled most of the area on the tin. This piece measures 9"x 4 3/4" x 5 1/4".
