Inspired by The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, these tin ornaments feature the lamppost by which we find our way home shining in the winter forest with Aslan in the background trees on a small ABC plate. When I was asked to design something on this brush box, I immediately thought of the beginnings of our art in the 19 century and came up with Back to the Beginnings Brush Box. The pattern shows some reproduction pieces I have painted, along with paint brushes.

This is my interpretation of two 19 century designs. The background is stenciled in the 19 century style. The border features faux-graining and a checkerboard which was very popular in the 18 and 19 centuries.

One of my favorite thing to paint is barns and this is the latest addition! Painted on a piece of old barn roofing slate, this great barn, which is no longer standing, sits amid piles of snow and ice. Quick and easy to paint, this is a great project for beginners, make-it-take-it projects, gifts, etc.

I'm calling this a needlwork carrier, but it has so many other uses! While great for your knitting, crocheting, cross-stitch, it can also be used as a purse, a lunch container, remote control caddy, etc., etc. The scene, which wraps around the piece, is my interpretation of two scenes painted by Rufus Porter in the 19 century. I have tried to use colors as close to his "recipes" as I could find.

When I saw the Polar Express, I knew I had to paint a design depicting this beautiful story. In the movie, if you believe, you can hear the bell.
