9" x 5 1/2" x 4 1/2". This is my interpretation of a box probably painted by Sally or Maria Francis, nieces of Sarah Brisco, who ws the niece of Paul Revere. Tulips, especially, seemed to be a favorite motif. Several colors loaded in the brush at the same time allow the streaking seen in some of the flowers. Red, yellow, and blue/white flowers with green leaves and yellow strokes on a black background. Hand-crafted tin document box.
