This is my interpretation of an apple pan, or bread pan, probably made and decorated in the Oliver Filley tinshop in Bloomfield, Connecticut, c. 1800-1846. It is attributed to the Filley shop because the design matches one painted on a trunk passed throught the descendants of the Filley family. White band with red berries and green leaves with gold strokes and floor band on black background. |
