White House visit

Barb Franzreb (l), Mrs. Bush, Laverne Gobs (r)

One of the highlights of my painting career has to be the honor of having an ornament I painted grace the official White House Christmas tree in 2004. The tree was located in the Blue Room and decorated with musical instrument ornaments hand-painted by the members of the Society of Decorative Painters. When I painted the ornament, I was simply hoping it would be chosen to decorate the tree, never dreaming I would be invited to a special reception at the White House, hosted by Mrs. Bush. This was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. I thank God for His blessings.
